Before you go Cold and windy even in summer — this is not a swimming beach, it’s a digging-and-running beach. Highway 92 and Highway 1 back up badly on weekend afternoons, and October is gridlock. Never turn your back on the surf.

Pedal-powered railbikes on century-old tracks along the Sacramento River — 10 miles round trip through Yolo farmland, with electric assist when your legs give out. The same depot also runs themed train rides (beer, boba, murder mystery, holiday trains).
